If you have never owned a home or land within Trinidad & Tobago and you are a resident, then you can apply to the NHA for housing. Mortgages are available through the TTMFC at a less than Commercial Bank rate.

The other avenue is through the Commercial Banks which usually request an income of TT$20,000 (About US$3,200) monthly based on the value of the house.
